Oh my gawd! How good is her site!?! I'm loving her blog posts, the yahoogroup is weirding me out a little but I"m used to super Christian posters from another group I belonged to. Entire threads on "modesty in daughters"

I'm so glad I'm on my own path here!

  2. I know what you mean about the "modesty in daughters" .

I could look at her blog for hours......

Oh, yep the Aus Steiner Group is slack on replies.....

  3. We could all always start posting on the Aussie one, if you want to revive it and see who's out there?

Kris, I also found Alan's books difficult in the early days. I guess I got hold of my first one over 10 years ago now. Some things he wrote I totally didn't agree with, but that's fairly normal for most education books!

I find that they're the type of book I refer to for inspiration and understanding rather than information. Sometimes I've taken a year just to read one of them. Picking it up and reading another chapter, or going back over something I didn't quite grasp first time.

I still read and recommend them though. His decades of experience in Steiner education is of value, and once you get a feel for his style, there's a good deal to be gained from his work.
